There are many reasons why a company, individual pr partnership may wish to change its trading name. It is possible that the name is not suitable any more for the business or the company is going through a Re-Brand. A company that wishes to change its trading name must be up to date with its annual returns to the Companies registration office. If the company is not up to date on returns, the Companies Registration office will not process the application.

Once the application to change the name has been processed, the company may not use or display this name until the Certificate of Change of name is issued and received by the company.

This form is used by Individual Sole Traders, Partnerships, and companies wishing to change a registered business name linked to a company.
