How long does it take to form a company?
How long does it take to form a company? It depends on a number of factors relating to your circumstances. Generally, unless we have a query, 95% of submissions to Irish Formations are processed on the same or the next working day. Where the process takes time is where the Irish Government have to process the submissions. Lets go through the process for a Non-EU resident Director and look at timelines.
Once you place an order online we will have all the information we need to send you documents that must be signed and returned. We get these out same day if submitted before 3pm GMT or next working day if submitted after 3pm GMT. They are sent by email.
Where there is only one Director and the Director lives outside the European Economic Area, a Section 137 Bond must be put in place. This bond document must be submitted with the application. Budget 2-3 days for us to acquire this document from our insurance company. During this time you can send us signed documents.
Once we have the bond document and your signed documents by email we assemble the application the same day and upload it to the Government system. We are then waiting 3-5 working days for incorporation.
Once we have the certificate of incorporation we make the next applications for tax and we prepare as much as possible for the first annual return. We then make any referral to our banking partners and Accountants if one is required. We start work on the package to send to the client immediately and get this out within one working day.
If you are an Accounting practice then you may wish to outsource the company formation function to us under a white label. Many practices do this. We can get your company formed within 3-5 working days, once we have your company name. We understand that time is of the essence.
